Packing Checklist 

Last year we distributed over $20,000 to Region 2 WAGC qualifiers, paying for up to 40% of the travel to St. Petersburg, Russia for those who attended both the 2008 and 2009 camps.
 
We have had 6 coaches from the 2009 WAGC and the World Championships as our clinicians: Robert Null (World Championships TR), Doug Boger (World Championships DM), Karl Ziehn (WAGC DM Head Coach), Susan Jacobson (WAGC DM), Peter Dodd (WAGC TR Head Coach), Chauncey Haydon (WAGC TU).
 
Last year there were 162 athletes and 32 coaches, representing California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Oklahoma. This year we will be inviting artistic gymnasts to the camp as well.
 

The star of the camp was definitely the 40,000 square foot facility.  There were eight foam pits and an equal number of resi-pits.  Most gyms are lucky to have one pit, and so all eight were in constant use.  There were five trampolines with Ross beds, a full rod floor and two double minis plus all the men’s and women’s apparatus.

 

Karl Ziehn has been the driving force behind the camp, and he was tireless in making sure that the equipment was ready and the forms were filled out.  He deserves our gratitude for a job well done.

 

 

 

The intention of the Region 2 TnT Benefit Camp is to raise money for Level 10-Sr Elite athletes from Region 2 who will qualify to compete  at the  World Age Group Championships and World Championships.  In 2007 Region 2 qualified more athletes to the WAGC and World Championships than any other region and came home with medals from both events! We hope to help support their effort and accomplishments by supplementing travel and competition expenses to Russia.

 

The Region 2 TnT Benefit Camp will feature many of the nation’s top athletes including National and World Champions, as well as their coaches.  In addition, our region is home to some of the best coaches in the world including World Championship and Olympic Coaches.  The camp will serve to familiarize all of our athletes with the new 2009-2013 routines and to improve their performance quality shortly before the start of the competitive season.  Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this exciting and important event.  Help us support all of our athletes who will earn a chance to realize their dreams on the World Stage!
